Stainless Steel Balls

BALCO INDUSTRIES stainless steels offer excellent corrosion resistance in organic, acid, industrial and marine environments. The non-magnetic properties combined with exceptionally high toughness at all temperatures make these steels an excellent selection for many applications. AISI 440 stainless steel offers superior corrosion resistance due to the higher nickel and molybdenum content.

  • General Information
    Balls of this straight chromium steel are Designed to provide stainless properties with maximum hardness. They are always used in a hardened condition and in some respects be have similar to steels.
  • Material Characteristic
    Outstanding characteristic is high hardness. Material is ferro-magnetic and makes a fair permanent magnet. As hardened ball, not readily machinable. All balls of this material are oassivated.
  • Hardness
    Rockwell C-58 to 65 measured on parallel flats.
